$50,000 immediately dropped into my bank account wouldn’t improve EVERYTHING but boy it sure would be a grand, sexy little start to a good, happy life path, don’t you think

Reblog for unexpected $$$ dropping into your Bank account.

You may think $50,000 appearing in your bank account would be great, until the reality of the situation sets in…

Firstly, that $50,000 being transferred into your account is gonna raise some red flags at both the senders and receivers banks. Why? Because most countries have procedures in place to detect and prevent money laundering, and one of these is that bank transactions of over $10,000 get flagged for investigation. Both you and the sender will receive a call from your banks, asking if the transaction is authorised and what the money is to be used for.

Secondly, that $50,000 is likely going to be taxed in some way. Oh, and if you thought about not declaring it in your taxes for the year, the transaction will have been reported to your countries government department responsible for investigating money laundering, these departments often share information with… the tax office.

Thirdly, if you’re in receipt of any government benefits, you’re sudden increase in wealth is gonna see those be reduced or cut back entirely.

It really feels like there’s two sets of books — it feels like a set of books for the tax guy and a set for the lender.”

I think there is a name for that. It’s on the tip of my brain.

Smaud? Craud? .

Hmm… I’m sure it will come to me.

I have this crazy idea.

I think they should create a fake report that shows the Obamas committed tax fraud on this scale. Barack and Michelle will admit to it. Do a tearful interview on 60 minutes.

And we just let the right-wing press go wild. Give them a month to be incensed about it. Let Hannity pop his top and let his giant noggin turn bright red with rage.

Then drop the curtain and reveal it was all an elaborate ruse.

I want a real demonstration of that common trope, “What if Obama did this?” I want to watch them squirm as they try to justify why they didn’t react similarly to Trump’s misdeeds.

There are people who stick with Trump because they are ride or die. Forget them. Nothing to be done about that brainless cult.

But there are others who are just too embarrassed to admit they were wrong. Those are the people I want to make as uncomfortable as possible for as long as possible. Because they would rather let the country fall apart than say, “You know what, this guy was a bad idea.”

PragerU got Larry Elder (author of โ€œStupid Black Menโ€) to make a video saying that racism is not a big deal anymore. They acknowledged that isolated instances of racism persist, but that America is the โ€œleast racist country in the world.โ€ย

He used quite a few out of context, false, or cherry-picked statistics to make his argument. But my favorite was to do with interracial marriage.ย

He put forward this thesisโ€ฆ

I always enjoy when they use such specific sources. How many sociologists? Which sociologists? In what context do they say this?

Letโ€™s move past the dubious sourcing and pretendย โ€œassimilationโ€ doesnโ€™t sound like we want to make Black people into Borg drones. If interracial marriage is the benchmark for a minimally racist society, then Iโ€™m guessing they are about to blow us away with a statistic now.ย

Well Iโ€™m convinced.ย

12% = racism over.ย
